Tender, late-shooting lettuce with long, green leaves and dark red tips
Great variety with dense rosette growth and delicate, pointed, green/red leaves. This romaine lettuce can be harvested as head lettuce or for the picking and is aromatic and crunchy. The historic variety originally comes from France ("Oreiles du diable") and, like many other romaine lettuce, was replaced by lettuce from the 1950s. The robust lettuce is very decorative and can even enrich the flower bed.
